Luis Enrique’s update on the PSG transfer window

PSG will be able to spend the winter warm. Narrowly qualified for the round of 16 of the Champions League, Luis Enrique can breathe a big “phew” of relief after coming very close to a premature elimination which would have been a task. The Spaniard will be able to continue his mission with a little more serenity. Time is on his side since between now and February and the next round of C1 in which his team still appears a little limited compared to its competitors, experience and the transfer window will bring their share of improvements.

The experience passes through work in training while the transfer window passes through the month of January and the networks of Luis Campos. “I am optimistic about the improvement of the team, we had a group which was the most complicated in the competition (in the Champions League, editor’s note). We have qualified and we will play these last knockout matches. We are talking about a team which is the one which is far above in the offensive field: possession, scoring chances, shots, expected goals… Football will put everyone in their place”warns the technician.

Luis Enrique wants reinforcements

As often, he was a bit angry in front of the press, on the eve of this trip to Lille (8:45 p.m.) to close this 16th day of Ligue 1. A very efficient team, according to him, against which he will have to be at his best to not to experience disillusionment. He will also have the opportunity to once again test the competition within his squad and find out where everyone’s level is in order to make adjustments during the transfer market. Luis Enrique believes that there may be beneficial contributions this winter.

“The winter transfer window is always very complicated. It is conditional on needs, injuries, and it is difficult to find high level players but we are always open to improving our squad. It is possible that this will happen, that one or more players come but also that there is no one” he assures, while a midfielder and a left-handed defender are tracked. For the first position, the young Gabriel Moscardo should arrive soon but his transfer will take place in June. For the second, the Leny Yoro track was activated as we announced yesterday. PSG will have the opportunity to see it in full size tomorrow…
