A famous French columnist believes that Kylian Mbappé should take an example from the English striker in the efforts he makes for the collective.

Last Wednesday, after the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund (1-1), Kylian Mbappé appeared frustrated. The French star seemed to criticize his teammates for not having done everything at the end of the match to achieve victory. The one that would have been synonymous with first place in the group. But he himself was invested enough during this part.

Roustan highlights Mbappé’s faults

Didier Roustan, the famous columnist for the L’Equipe channel, doesn’t think so. Asked to judge the performance of the Bondynois, he suggested that the Parisian star had a dilettante behavior which does him no credit. “Normally there are ten guys defending and you see that at Manchester City, for example. Except maybe if you’re Messi’s Barça. But, it’s Messi. There is none at PSG, he began by noting. On arrival, I regret, you see it against Dortmund, the defender is 3.4 meters away from him, he does not accelerate”

Roustan went on to indicate that the Blues captain would do well to take inspiration from some of the best strikers in the world. “Mbappé at 25, he runs less than Kane at 32. Did you see Kane on Tuesday (during MU – Bayern)? And Mbappé also runs less than Giroud who is 37 years old and yet is a center forward. He, as a winger, must run more. As for me, I want him to have all the rights, but at one point, all Mbappé that he is, but who is going to tell him or impose on him, with supporting videos, that “there, vis-à-vis your teammates, well no” “He’s not interested in that at all.”

“Mbappé makes no differences”

Roustan was not the only one to hit Mbappé after this outing at Signal Iduna Park. This was also the case for Johan Micoud. Present on the same set, the former international asked himself: “But how did his match succeed? You still have to know where you place the cursor. I’m not saying he missed it. But between failure and success, I will go more towards failure.” Roustan then took action: “If you think he is one of the 3 best players in the world, he is once again not decisive and does not make any difference.”
