Cannon shots and crazy goals: Liverpool are stunning!

Liverpool rocked Anfield with a crazy scenario to beat Fulham (4-3) and absolutely insane goals.

Liverpool and their dreams of regaining the title were off to a bad start three minutes before the final whistle of the match against Fulham. Led at Anfield, the Reds completely overthrew the Cottagers to win (4-3) at the end of the suspense and virtually regain second place in the Premier League from Manchester City. Jürgen Klopp’s men were not content with proposing a crazy scenario and absolutely not recommended for those with heart problems, they also combined the pleasant with the useful.

Three of the four Liverpool goals are quite simply gems – the term is not overused – and the last one is at least to be classified among the very nice achievements. The hero of the afternoon was none other than Trent Alexander-Arnold, who scored the winning goal with a quick rebound (4-3, 88th), after opening the ball with a direct free kick among the most beautiful that we have seen on European lawns in 2023. The effect, the bar hit, the noise of the nets, everything is there.

And what about Alexis Mac Allister’s goal, on a lifted shot from more than 35 meters which landed in Leno’s right corner (2-1, 38th)? Tete, just before the break (2-2, 45th+2) and De Cordova Reid’s header (2-3, 80th), on the cusp of money time, took advantage of the generosity of the LFC defense to make people believe in a feat, but that was without taking into account Klopp’s coaching and the impact of his replacements.

Wataru Endo, after a nice delivery from Mo Salah, opened his foot perfectly without control to land the spider’s web in the right corner of the Fulham cage (3-3, 87th), before the “banger” from Trent Alexander- Arnold, who still has no equal in Europe among full-backs in terms of offensive contribution.

While waiting for the clash between City and Tottenham, Liverpool is in ambush behind Arsenal in second place. In the other matches of the afternoon, Chelsea dominated Brighton (3-2) with a double from Enzo Fernandez (17th and 65th) and an achievement from Colwill (21st), Aston Villa snatched the point of the draw (2-2) on the Bournemouth pitch thanks to Ollie Watkins (90th). Finally, West Ham and Crystal Palace separated with a score of parity (1-1), Odsonne Edouard (53rd) responding to Kudus (13th).
