No miracle for OL, beaten (3-2) in Lens despite a valiant performance for the first time without Fabio Grosso on the bench.
RC Lens raised its head on Saturday, three days after the heavy defeat (6-0) at Arsenal in the Champions League. The Northerners painfully defeated Olympique Lyonnais at home (3-2), during the first on the bench of Pierre Sage, interim after the dismissal of Fabio Grosso. If on an accounting level, there was no psychological shock for the Rhone residents, they can at least be satisfied with having caused problems for one of the best teams in the championship.
The deliverance came from Przemyslaw Frankowski for the Lensois, scorer of the winning goal at the start of the last quarter of an hour (3-2, 74th).
