It’s D-Day. This Thursday at 2 p.m., Didier Deschamps will announce his last list before the World Cup in the FFF auditorium. As a reminder, the Blues will challenge Brazil (March 26) and Colombia (March 29) as part of their tour across the Atlantic. A final test before the great mass of world football which could allow some to stand out. According to the latest information from The Teamthe French coach should also call up 25 or 26 elements.

Among them, the usual executives (Maignan, Tchouaméni, Rabiot, Mbappé, etc.) already have their place but the former coach of Olympique de Marseille is not immune to having a few surprises in store. With this in mind: what about Lucas Chevalier? Doubled by Matvey Safonov in recent months, will the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper be there? While the names of Jean Butez (30 years old, Como) or Robin Risser (21 years old, Lens) come up with insistence recently, the former Lille player should however retain the confidence of Deschamps.

An expanded list with Chevalier, Ekitike but without Pavard?

An outstretched hand which, however, does not change the urgency surrounding his situation. Indeed, the French daily specifies that if Lucas Chevalier does not manage to find playing time in the capital, his participation in the World Cup in June is still far from being confirmed. Furthermore, on the defensive level, Deschamps should call Turin’s Pierre Kalulu to compensate for the absence of Jules Koundé and thus assist Malo Gusto. For his part, Benjamin Pavard seems to be the big loser of the season. Finally, the injury to Bradley Barcola in attack also changes the cards.

Marcus Thuram and Randal Kolo Muani, scorer on Wednesday with Tottenham against Atlético de Madrid (3-2), should logically benefit from the Parisian winger’s injury. But that’s not all. With an expanded list, Hugo Ekitike, very successful in the Liverpool jersey, also has a good chance of appearing among the players selected for the tour across the Atlantic. It remains to be seen who will get the last ticket between Christopher Nkunku, Kingsley Coman, Maghnes Akliouche, or even Jean-Philippe Mateta… Answer at 2 p.m.
