In a message posted Friday evening on social networks, Jean-Michel Aulas clarified things about his relationship with John Textor.

Since leaving the presidency of Olympique Lyonnais in December 2022, Jean-Michel Aulas has kept a close eye on his favorite club. The former leader did not hesitate to express his thoughts on this or that subject, sometimes seeming to point the finger at his successor at the top of the Rhone club, John Textor. Even if Jean-Michel Aulas filed a complaint against X concerning the publication, allegedly without his knowledge, of several anti-OL tweets, he has obviously decided to turn the page. At a time when OL continues to sink into the depths of the Ligue 1 ranking, “JMA” posted a message of appeasement on its social networks.

A message posted Friday evening on @OL, the truth is that internally at OLG certain(s) are constantly trying to oppose me to John Textor by inventing and taking initiatives which will soon be sanctioned: the time has come for agreement with JT to allow OL to relaunch the DNA OL Please stop this ignominy. » A sort of affirmation of the burial of the hatchet, especially since the main interested party quickly reacted. John Textor relayed his predecessor’s message on the same social network, adding a ” Go OL! » matched with hearts in Lyon colors.

Waiting for a coach

And Jean-Michel Aulas, in turn, retweeted John Textor’s response. At least on the front, the time has come for harmony and unity to avoid parasitizing the news of an Olympique Lyonnais which really does not need negative interference. Last in the standings with four units behind (but one match less) on the Lorient barrage, Lyon will have to (finally) find the recipe to get back up and get back out of the red zone as quickly as possible. All this while waiting for his new coach to arrive, the third of the season.
