As Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle faced off in the Champions League on Tuesday evening, clashes broke out between Parisian supporters and their British counterparts. Consequently, theAFP reported in the evening that six individuals, including four on S files and possible radical supporters of the reigning French champion, were arrested and then placed in police custody for having “wanted to fight with English fans” who were going to a bar to attend the meeting.

“Six people were arrested among several dozen individuals who were heading, dressed in black and with masked faces, towards a bar where there were English supporters. Investigations continue. The investigation is entrusted to the Local Reception and Investigation Service (SAIP) of Paris Centre., explained the Paris prosecutor’s office. As a reminder, a brawl also broke out during the first leg between the two teams near St James Park, Newcastle’s sports venue, where a handful of Parisian supporters were heckled by Magpies fans.
