Bayern Munich formalized the extension of Manuel Neuer this Tuesday.
Almost a year after his serious right leg injury, Manuel Neuer made his comeback to competition with Bayern Munich at the end of last October. And on the eve of the German Champions League match against Copenhagen, the Bavarian club formalized the contract extension of an additional year, until June 2025, of its 37-year-old goalkeeper.
His replacement, Sven Ulreich, aged 35, also served until 2025.

“Neuer showed that he had lost none of his qualities”
“Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are quite simply a ‘dream team’. It’s a pleasure to watch them work every day. They support each other, motivate each other and embody the values that characterize FC Bayern. Sven Ulreich replaced Manuel Neuer more than worthily during his long injury and we know we can count on him. Since his return, Manuel Neuer has shown that he has lost none of his qualities”said Bayern general manager Jan-Christian Dreesen.
