Four nations are already guaranteed to participate in the Euro 2024 play-offs next March.

On March 21 and 26, the play-off matches giving access to the Euro will be played. They will be open to teams who have failed to secure their tickets via the qualifying route. 12 selections will participate, across three different platforms.

Hotly contested play-offs ahead

For the moment, only a third of the nations in question are known. In the highest tier (track 1), Finland is likely to be included. Unless it is reserved in lane B, which seems less steep. Bosnia-Herzegovina should be its opponent if this scenario is confirmed.

The other two nations which are certain to participate in the playoffs belong to the third level. These are Georgia and Luxembourg. These two selections will face each other in the semi-finals, before challenging another rival for the decisive match.

Note that Erling Haaland’s Norway still has a chance of competing in the play-offs. For this to happen, Israel would need to finish ahead of Romania in its qualifying group (group I).

For completeness, we will point out that some important nations no longer have any access to the dams. This is the case of Ireland, which is in the France group, and of Sweden.
