Already mentioned in recent months, the information according to which Qatar Sports Investment (QSI), which arrived in 2011, wishes to sell part of Paris Saint-Germain is about to materialize. According to the latest information from The Athletic, Qatari leaders are, in fact, on the verge of selling a minority stake in the capital club. The British media specifies, in this regard, that the American private equity group Arctos Partners seems the most likely to invest in the Parisian club, having already acquired stakes in teams in several sports, notably in basketball and baseball. Parisian supporters can rest assured, however, this has no impact on the commitment of the current owners.

“We have no interest in selling the club, it will certainly be a minority stake. The owners are more committed to the club than ever, as evidenced by the money we spent on Poissy (the club’s new training ground) and what we are prepared to spend on the stadium: these are both investments to be made. long term”declared Marc Armstrong, revenue director of PSG, before discussing the negotiated investment: “This is an opportunity to take our business to the next level, especially in key markets, like the United States. The company has a history of investing in sports franchises, it has experience and know-how on its advisory board and we can work together to take our business to the next level.. To be continued…
