The Spanish media Relevo indicates that a clash between Karim Benzema and Nuno Espirito Santo would have got the better of the Portuguese coach.

Nuno Espirito Santo, the Portuguese coach, was sacked by Saudi club Al-Ittihad on Tuesday. Insults were allegedly exchanged between him and our national KB9, according to the Iberian press.

The native of Bron is thus accused of having had the head of his coach, while Relevo assures that a lively exchange between the two men, which occurred Monday at half-time of the Asian Champions League match against the Iraqi club Al-Qowa Al-Jawiya (2-0 defeat), could have got the better of the reign from the 49-year-old coach.

According to this source, while Espirito Santo criticized his players for their attitude on the pitch, Benzema would have raised his voice in front of his coach, the two men even having exchanged jokes. Local media have often reported tensions between the two men since the start of the campaign.
