Hit in one knee, French international Benjamin Pavard was taken out on a stretcher on Saturday during the Inter match at Atalanta. However, he followed the rest of the match on the Nerazzurri sidelines.
Unfortunately, it feels like a setback for Benjamin Pavard… The French international has adapted perfectly to Inter Milan since his recruitment from Bayern, playing in a position that suits him perfectly, that of center of a three-way defense, which even allowed him to be tried in the central hinge by Didier Deschamps during the last match of the France team (against Scotland).
Pavard, however, injured his left knee and left on a stretcher, replaced by Matteo Darmian (33rd). The image of his exit was very worrying at the time, even if the 27-year-old defender is obviously not seriously injured. He in fact remained on his team’s bench and, bandaged at the knee and limping, he even went to congratulate Hakan Çalhanoglu on the opening score from the penalty spot (40th).

Pavard could have suffered a slight knee sprain, which will keep him away from the field for a few days. He could be summoned by “La Dèche” next Thursday but not be operational for the Blues’ next two games against Gibraltar and Greece, on November 18 and 21, at the end of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
