The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, now thriving in Italy with Juventus in Turin, has always embraced his difference.
Represented by his mother Véronique, omnipotent and feared in the community, Adrien Rabiot also stands out with his choices outside the green rectangle. The French world vice-champion does not enter into the system of contracts governed by the stars of the French selection. Adrien Rabiot’s reasoning is very clear. “It’s comfort that guides my choice, not aesthetics. At one point, I wore Adidas then I chose Nike because I felt better with them, without being under contract (…) I chose to be free. We know that with contracts there are constraints, a lot of things to do, shootings here and there. I do not want to. Our rest time between matches and training is often very short and I prefer to take advantage of it to recover rather than go for a shoot in Ibiza or who knows where… It’s a choice that I accept. I earn enough of a living not to think that I need that money. »
