Marco Materazzi, the former great Inter defender, believes Romelu Lukaku owes Nerazzurri fans an explanation.
Inter Milan icon Marco Materazzi believes AS Roma striker Romelu Lukaku should have made his reasons publicly known as to why he did not stay with the Nerzzurri.
“Lukaku should explain himself”
Lukaku, on loan from Chelsea, returns to Inter and the San Siro stadium this weekend. On this occasion, “Matrix” sent him a message through an interview given to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Why are San Siro going to boo Lukaku when they never booed Mourinho? It’s not that difficult, I think. Lukaku should have just said: ‘It was great, thanks for everything, etc, etc.’ All he had to do was say it sooner.”
“The silence and the timing. He said that when he speaks, many things will be understood. I hope so, but we Inter fans are still waiting”added the 2006 world champion.
“If I had made a choice like his, I would have already explained it. There are things you don’t need to say, like that night in Madrid, but other times it’s important to explain.”concluded Materazzi.
