Manchester United’s English international defender, Harry Maguire, spoke about his recent performance in the Champions League.
Harry Maguire became Manchester United’s saving scorer against Copenhagen (1-0) on Tuesday as part of the 3rd day of the Champions League.
A victory for Red Devils which was also made possible thanks to a very good save by André Onana on a penalty taken by Jordan Larsson, in the last minutes of the match. Enough to allow the two Mancunian heroes, targeted by critics, to gain a little confidence.
Questioned after the meeting, the English defender reiterated his desire to help the residents of Old Trafford to return to the forefront of the European scene, not without congratulating the goalkeeper of the Indomitable Lions.
“We had to win the match”
“It’s Manchester United, one of the most scrutinized clubs in the world, if not the most scrutinized. When you’re not at your best, it shows. It’s analyzed. I am very proud and satisfied with the way I have acted over the last six to twelve months, explained the former Leicester. I’ve been given an opportunity now and I just want to help the team and get the club back to where it needs to be.
And to add: “I think it was one of those nights where everything had to happen. We had to win the match and you saw it in the last minute, it was a magnificent save from André.”Maguire was thus judged to TNT Sports.
