Real Madrid legend Casemiro regrets leaving the club to join Manchester United.
This is what the media claims Nationalwhich reports that the Brazilian midfielder realizes he made a big mistake in leaving the Spanish giant for the struggling Premier League club.
National reports that Casemiro regrets leaving for England and considers that the Man Utd team is far from the level required to compete with the best nationally and in Europe.
He is also frustrated with the poor management of the club and does not enjoy life off the pitch either.
Nacional also reports that Man Utd are unhappy with Casemiro’s performances and are already looking for replacements for 2024, with Benfica star Joao Neves as a target.
The 31-year-old performed well for much of last season and played a key role in the team’s Carabao Cup victory.
However, his form has declined sharply this season for a Man Utd side who have suffered their worst start to a season in over 30 years.
Casemiro also struggled during the recent international break with Brazil.
Casemiro was arguably the signing of the summer of 2021 for Man Utd, who paid more than 70 million euros to acquire the legendary Real Madrid midfielder.
Time for regrets
Some critics have questioned paying such a large amount of money for a 30-year-old player.
Although he did well in his first season, it is estimated that Casemiro’s age is starting to catch up with him.
Casemiro is considered a great player for Real Madrid. He won everything in ten years, after joining the club from São Paulo.
He has won three La Liga titles, five Champions Leagues and made over 300 appearances.
