PSG, OM, ASM… how much is the value of the different squads of Ligue 1 clubs?
With the transfer window now closed everywhere, it’s time for financial statements and photographs of the different squads drawn up this summer. With one constant for Ligue 1: the overwhelming domination of PSG in terms of locker room value since the capital club exceeds one billion euros in this area according to data from Transfermarkt (1.09 billion).
On the second step of the podium remains AS Monaco, with a bloated workforce valued at 331.8 million euros, three times less than the Parisian leader. No OM or OL in the top three but Stade Rennais, the rising star of the French championship which had a dynamic off-season.
Lens eighth only
With its workforce listed at 275.15 million euros, Rennes is ahead of Marseille, which enjoys a workforce valued at 256.35 million euros after also an eventful summer. Note that the outgoing vice-champion Lensois has the eighth overall valuation, at 195.65 million euros, just behind Lyon and its locker room at 201.85 million euros. Little Thumb is also Messin, with its workforce estimated at 34.85 million euros.
