The big budgets of the French championship experienced mixed fortunes this weekend, when they did not really disappoint. This is rare enough to be underlined: no PLM team (Paris-Lyon-Marseille) won during this 7th day. For the two Olympics, this is no longer really a surprise given the current context. For OL, especially. Beaten on the pitch in Reims (0-2), Fabio Grosso’s men plunged to last place in the standings.

Lille finally seduces!

A striking result which left room for other interesting posters on this sunny autumn Sunday. The good operation of the day is to the credit of Lille. Very inconsistent since the curtain rose, LOSC showed its best face on the Le Havre lawn. Paulo Fonseca’s men scored a valuable success (2-0) which allowed them to move up to 6th place in the standings. A victory acquired thanks to a goal from Zhegrova and a “csc” from Salmier, before and after the break (40th, 53rd).

Toulouse tames Metz

It wasn’t promotion day. Dashing like the HAC until then, FC Metz also lost, against Toulouse (0-3). Schmidt (31st) and Dallinga (43rd) allowed Téfécé to take off in the first period, before the locals definitively sealed their victory in the final minutes thanks to a third goal from Magri (83rd). Toulouse, ninth, gets back in front of its opponent of the day.

Brest and Nice back to back

And make no mistake, the clash of the weekend, given the photograph of the ranking, pitted Stade Bretois against OGC Nice. But these two teams ranked in the top 4 were unable to decide between themselves and left with a rather frustrating goalless draw (0-0). A lesser evil which, however, does not break their good dynamic.
