A few days after being held to a draw by Lens (1-1) in the Champions League, Sevilla FC traveled to Osasuna for the 6th day of the Liga. Seventeenth and on the edge of the red zone before kick-off, the Andalusian club hoped to confirm their victory last week against Las Palmas to give themselves some air in the standings. Master of possession in the first half, Sevilla created a few situations without really worrying their opponent. Returning from the locker room, the locals came close to opening the score but Avila saw his dive ball hit Nyland’s post after getting the better of the Norwegian goalkeeper (62nd). Around ten minutes later, Sevillian striker Lukebakio responded to the Argentinian by finding Herrera’s crossbar (76th). In the end, the two teams parted with a goalless draw (0-0). With this small point, Osasuna (8th, 7 points) provisionally enters the Top 10. At the same time, Sevilla gains a place (16th, 4 points) and is one unit ahead of the first relegation, Granada (18th, 3 points) .
