His arrival was imminent, it is now official. Fabio Grosso was named the new coach of Olympique Lyonnais on Saturday.
Less than a week after the sidelining of Laurent Blanc, Olympique Lyonnais found a new coach. On Saturday, the Rhone club formalized the arrival of Fabio Grosso. The former defender, Serie B champion last year with Frosinone, has signed up until the end of the current season, i.e. until June 2024.
A short contract, but if all goes well and both parties choose to continue their collaboration beyond this date, an optional year has been added. If he will not be in charge of his team on Sunday against Le Havre, Fabio Grosso will come into action straight away.

Raise your head and the team
It’s quite a challenge that awaits the 2006 world champion, particularly because Olympique Lyonnais currently occupies the undesirable place of bottom of the championship, with three defeats and a draw on the clock after four days.
