FC Barcelona’s financial problems have been common in recent years, but the club is working to remedy them. The Catalans took a big step forward this summer, and it will likely be the same in 2024.
The way things are going, FC Barcelona should soon be spending a lot of money again, starting next summer. According to El Nacional, the Blaugrana club could turn to one of the most interesting players in Europe.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made a spectacular debut last season. The Georgia international, who featured in Friday’s 7-1 rout of Spain, was in sensational form alongside Victor Osimhen, and both players helped Napoli win their first Serie A title in over 30 years .
Napoli were able to retain Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia this summer, although FC Barcelona are reportedly looking to sign the latter in 2024. However, the Italian champions are unlikely to accept an offer lower than €100 million.
Left wing is a position that Barcelona could look to strengthen next summer, given that Ez Abde left earlier this month and Joao Felix is only on loan from Atlético Madrid. However, it is very unlikely that the Spanish team will be able to recruit Kvaratskhelia, simply because they will not have the means.
