This Sunday, FC Metz coach Laszlo Boloni showed his sadness to see Georges Mikauradze leave for Ajax Amsterdam.
It’s almost a surprise to see Georges Mikautadze still under contract with FC Metz less than a week from the end of the summer transfer window. The Georgian international, who is coming off a very good season in Ligue 2 with 23 goals and 8 assists which allowed him to be named player of the season, has taken his first steps in Ligue 1 and is already showing his advantage.
Mikautadze decisive but on the way out
Decisive in every game, he already has two goals and an assist in three games, including a winning goal this Sunday in Clermont to give the Grenats their first victory of the season. Obviously, Metz would like to keep it but Ajax Amsterdam could thwart the ambitions of Lorraine.
Georges Mikautadze has been involved in 26 goals in his last 27 league games (21 goals, 5 assists). #CF63FCM

After the meeting in Clermont, Messin coach Laszlo Boloni made it clear that he did not want to see his star striker leave. “What he did last year was amazing, and apart from that he’s a lovely lad. When you have things like that, of course you’re proud of him. (…) If he has to leave, of course one of me will cry, and the other will be happy and will smile”he confided.
