Stade Rennais is active on the transfer market, both in terms of arrivals and departures. After completing the arrival of Nemanja Matic to strengthen his midfield, another midfielder is doing the opposite. Croatian Lovro Majer will join German club Wolfsburg.

This Tuesday, the Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano announces that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs for the transfer of the Croatian international. A transaction that would amount to the sum of 30 million euros plus 5 bonus. The SRFC could receive a percentage of 15% in the event of the player’s resale.

The left-hander will go to Germany in the next few hours where he should have his medical examination. Then he will sign a contract for 5 seasons until June 2028.

Arrived in Ligue 1 in the summer of 2021, Lovro Majer has established himself as a major player at Stade Rennais and one of the most talented in the championship even if he had a rather delicate previous exercise. He played 79 matches in all competitions with a total of 9 goals and 15 assists. In the Bundesliga, he will aim to take a new step in his career.
