Ahead of the semi-final against Lionel Messi and Miami’s Inter, Philadelphia Union boss Jim Curtin asked fans not to sell their tickets.

Following the 2-1 win over Queretaro in the League Cup quarter-final, Union coach Curtin pleaded with his fans to hold on to their tickets regardless of their resale value on the open market.

Ahead of Tuesday night’s semi-final, prices soared as high as $1,500 on Seatgeek, the MLS ticketing app.

He said at a press conference: Please don’t sell your tickets, no matter how much you are offered, please”.

Curtin and the Union will be hoping to retain home-field advantage when the Argentine and Inter Miami come to town. Messi fans may have other plans in mind…

Ever since La Pulga joined MLS, each of their appearances has been priced high, whether at home or away.
