In the vortex surrounding Kylian Mbappé and his imminent transfer (or not) to Real Madrid, Toni Kroos has decided to share his colorful opinion.
The German midfielder isn’t afraid to speak his mind in his podcast with his brother FelixEinfach Mal Luppen. The veteran midfielder also has a playful side that may not always shine through, but it’s not hard to imagine him with the playful tongue during his latest podcast.
“I have a new dog. And the turtles? They have not been forgotten. They are not there yet. A new dog doesn’t mean there isn’t a turtle. It’s clear. They will come” Kroos said, as Diario AS report.
Many see it as a reference to Mbappé, who uses the turtle as his logo and unofficial nickname. Kroos knows the mechanics of the football media very well, and he may have just been looking to get that exact reaction for his own amusement.
Yet, with the transfer deadline set three weeks ago, more and more people see a transfer to Real Madrid as the only viable solution to Mbappé’s current situation at Paris Saint-Germain, where he was dropped from the first team.
