More than five million viewers followed the victory (4-0) of the French team against Morocco, in the round of 16 of the World Cup on Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon, Les Bleues qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2023 World Cup, by atomizing Morocco (4-0). Goals scored by Diani (15th), Dali (20th) and Le Sommer (23rd) knocked out the Atlas Lionesses from the start, before the latter scored twice in the second half (4-0, 70th ). According to Médiamétrie, more than 5.22 million viewers were in front of M6, yesterday from 1 p.m. to 2:53 p.m., to follow this meeting.

Unsurprisingly, this is the best audience result for Hervé Renard’s protégés since the start of the competition. “A peak of 5.86 million viewers was even recorded at the end of the first period, i.e. 55.4% audience share and therefore more than one in two viewers who attend the qualification of the France Feminine in the quarter-finals”, welcomes the French Football Federation in a press release published on its website. The market share amounts to 45.7% for the general public and 37.2% for women in charge of purchases under the age of fifty.

The first group game against Jamaica had attracted 3.4 million viewers (28.6% PDA), the second against Brazil had attracted 4.294 million (36% PDA) and the last with Panama had been followed by 3.945 million followers (34.2% PDA). In the quarter-finals, France will face Australia. This meeting will be to follow this Saturday, August 12 on France 2, at 9 a.m. French time.
