Florentino Perez has been president of Real Madrid for many years. He took up his post in 2000, which he held until 2006, before resuming it three years later.
After many years, he is still heavily involved with Real Madrid, and his love for the club and for his job knows no bounds, despite rumors of a possible departure, which the club clarified in an official statement.
“Rumors have appeared on some social networks in which it is said that the president Florentino Perez would consider leaving the presidency of the club. Real Madrid CF would like to clarify the following:
That these rumors are categorically false and obey interests that have nothing to do with reality.
At the next general meeting of members representing Real Madrid, no item on the agenda will relate to the name of the city of Real Madrid”.
This last point refers to reports that the Valdebebas training complex could be renamed after Perez, but Real Madrid were quick to deny these rumours, as well as those that the 76-year-old could be on the go.
