Atletico Madrid are currently working on securing a deal with a Saudi airline to become their new main sponsor.
As reported ReportAtlético are looking to replace WhaleFin as main sponsor and have been negotiating in recent weeks with Riyadh Air, one of Saudi Arabia’s main airlines.
The two sides hope to reach an agreement on a multi-year contract in the coming days, which would see the Riyadh Air logo appear on Atletico’s shirts for the coming season.
WhaleFin offered Atletico €42m per season as part of their deal but Riyadh Air are reportedly ready to pay significantly more as part of their offer which will be music to the Colchoneros’ ears.
The increase in income would be very good news for Atlético de Madrid, who could use it immediately to reinvest in the transfer window, with the aim of improving Diego Simeone’s team.
