Ballon d’Or, the scandalous classification!

Predictions concerning the winner of the Ballon d’Or 2023 are talking: Lionel Messi is given as the big favorite ahead of Erling Haaland, while Kylian Mbappé has almost no chance of winning…

The start of the European season as well as the end of the summer transfer window (until September 1), will be accompanied by the debates around the Ballon d’Or 2023, since the 30 nominees will be announced by France Soccer September 6. As a reminder, the prestigious individual award now highlights the best player of the past season (in this case, that of 2022-2023).

There is obviously no suspense. At least, Sky Sports 75% believe that Lionel Messi, the Ballon d’Or record holder, will offer his 8th crown on October 30 in Paris. The recent predictions made by the English media, in a country which has seen Manchester City offer an exceptional Premier League-FA Cup-Champions League treble, are enough to enrage football followers.

Humiliation for Mbappé!

Admittedly, “La Pulga” led Argentina to the tercera at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar last December, but Erling Haaland has “only” a 25% chance of finishing first in the ballot (the jury is now made up of 100 international journalists).
