Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix infuriated the club by saying he wanted to join FC Barcelona earlier in the week, and that hasn’t gone down well with fans either.

Felix told Fabrizio Romano his dream was to play for the Blaugrana, a statement that caught the Madrid club off guard. However, he is still in stasis as the Catalan side can’t afford him.

Every Atlético de Madrid player receives a plaque outside the Civitas Metropolitano if they have played 100 appearances for the club, but fans have taken to the stadium to desecrate Felix’s this week. Next to the plaque it reads “Go to Barca”.

It’s not the first time this has happened. Antoine Griezmann’s plaque has been damaged in the past after he decided to join Barcelona. Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Coutois’ plaque also came under fire from fans last season after claims that Real Madrid were the biggest team in the city.
