In order to compensate for the departure of Romelu Lukaku, Inter Milan could enlist an attacker who was announced to be close to OM.

Olympique de Marseille, which wants to offer between two and three new attackers this summer, has one less track for its offensive sector. The former Reims Folarin Balogun, whose name had been studied by the Olympian staff, will most likely go to Inter.

OM could not compete

The European runners-up see Balogun as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku after dropping negotiations with Chelsea for a permanent transfer for the Belgian. The latter having failed by negotiating at the same time with rivals of the Lombard club (Juventus and Milan).

Inter have had to redirect their search and according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, it’s the USA international who is top of their list now. A transfer therefore seems to be looming and the Nerazzurri leaders would be ready to go on the offensive this week.

Balogun (22) stood out during his loan spell at Stade Reims last season. With 21 goals scored, he finished fourth best scorer in the championship. Returning to London following this great campaign, he made it clear that he did not want to be loaned out by Arsenal again.
