FC Barcelona plans to part ways with at least seven elements by the close of the transfer market.
FC Barcelona are ready to sell half a dozen first-team players this summer to ease Financial Fair Play pressure. The problem for the Blaugrana is that the candidates for departure are not legion.
Barça forced to degrease
The Spanish champions welcomed Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez without any compensation. Then, they agreed a €75m deal for Athletico Paranaense striker Vitor Roque. Having strengthened, the Catalan club must now sell a large number of players to meet the requirements of the FFP. According to the daily Sport, no less than seven players could leave the club this summer.
The undesirables are Clément Lenglet, Franck Kessié, Eric García, Sergiño Dest, Alex Collado, Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati. At present, only Lenglet is currently in talks with another club, in this case Tottenham, for a permanent transfer.
Note that last year, Barça only sold for 27 million euros in total, while arrivals amounted to 158M€. A negative balance that Joan Laporta, the boss of the club, does not want to repeat.
