Faced with numerous external approaches, the management of Naples has decided to revise upwards the price of its star player, Victor Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen, the top scorer of the last Serie A exercise, is one of the most popular strikers in Europe today. Many clubs are fighting for it and among them is notably PSG. Luis Campos, the club’s sporting director, is desperate to enlist the one he had already known in Lille.

Osimhen’s price soared because of Tonali

Snatching the Nigerian striker from Napoli will not be a cakewalk, however. The Italian champions will not give it up unless they benefit from a fabulous offer. Initially set at €150 million, this amount has just been revised upwards.

Gianluca Di Marzio, the famous journalist of Sky Italia, indicated that the Neapolitan management has become more greedy with its star: “The situation is that he has a two-year contract and Napoli are either going to renew it or let him go, he told wettfreunde.net. Napoli’s president says he wants two hundred million and that’s no joke. He met Osimhen’s agent and told him that if we were to let the player go, you had to bring me two hundred million”.

If Osimhen’s price rose it would be because of the transfer of Sandro Tonali. Still Di Marzio: “Tolani left for Newcastle for eighty million euros, so Osimhen’s value is at least two hundred million and no one is going to pay that in the current climate. I know that clubs have offered 110 or 120 million euros, but it is not enough”.

Osimhen gone to stay

Finally, Di Marzio said he doesn’t believe Osimhen will leave this summer unless a club like PSG breaks the bank: “Bayern won’t spend so much money and Chelsea have to sell players. Manchester United won’t spend as much either. Maybe PSG if they sell Mbappé. For now, he is likely to renew his contract with a new salary and an exit clause for next summer.
