Invited to attend the OM match in Ajaccio on Saturday, a young Marseille supporter suffering from cancer was attacked by local supporters, as the Corsican club admitted.

The dream of Kenzo, a young Olympique de Marseille fan suffering from cancer, turned into a nightmare on Saturday evening. Present in the stands of the François Coty stadium, the 8-year-old child was present in the boxes with his parents thanks to an invitation from the president of Air Corsica, Marie-Hélène Casanova-Servas.

“Since we thought we were safe, I allowed Kenzo to put on his jersey, my husband took him by the arms to show him the players’ entrance to the field. And everything went wrong. A dozen supporters rush into the box. They pushed my son and his head hit the railing. They punched my husband in the face, ripped off the boy’s shirt and went to burn him. Before leaving the lodge, they even spat in the food that was available to us” tells this Sunday in Corse Matin the mother of the young OM fan shamefully attacked by supporters of AC Ajaccio.

Invited to speak in order to defend their point of view, the potential aggressors denied everything, or almost. If they confirm an attack on the father, who also wore an OM jersey according to them, they refuse to take the blame for the attack on Kenzo, the young 8-year-old child suffering from cancer.

The Corsican Ultras deny the aggression of the young OM supporter

“It was the father who wore the OM jersey and taunted the supporters underneath. So indeed, a few people seated in the Faedda stand came up, punched the father twice to make him take off the jersey before coming down with the outfit. One hundred people in the gallery are able to testify to this. The Orsi Ribelli group intends to clarify the situation” says Lisandru leca, representative of the Orsi Ribelli, a group of ACA supporters. Statements that still send shivers down your spine when you think that in Ligue 1, such attacks can take place inside stadiums.
