Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has revealed that he has turned his back on a possible comeback in Brazil.
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva admits ending his career with his former club Fluminense is an increasingly remote assumption.
Thiago Silva’s family keeps him in Europe
The experienced defender admitted his family are reluctant to return to Brazil. He said in an interview with O Globo: “Now the future belongs to God. Everyone knows how much I want to return to Fluminense, but today it’s difficult to talk to my family: my children don’t want to live in Brazil”.
“So it’s a very complicated situation, but we still have a year to reflect and determine what we will do next year,” continued the former Parisian.
Thiago Silva, 38, is still linked to the Blues until 2024. While waiting to find out where he will end his football career, he will therefore continue to give his all for the London team.
