For the first time this season, Bayern Munich failed to win. The stakes took precedence over the game in this clash against Bayer Leverkusen (1-1).

This Saturday evening, Bayern Munich hosted Bayer Leverkusen for the fifth day of
Bundesliga. At the half-hour mark, Robert Andrich opened the scoring by striking without control, with his right foot, from twenty meters (0-1, 30th). Vincent Kompany’s men were quick to react.

Following a cross from Olise cleared directly onto Pavlovic by Tapsoba, the German defensive midfielder controlled with his chest before unleashing a sublime half-volley. It ended its course in the skylight.

Bayern retains control

In a rather strange atmosphere at the Allianz Arena, with supporters not very enthusiastic despite the poster, the six-time winner of the Champions League had the opportunity to take the advantage shortly after the start of the second half. Except that Gnabry hit the goalkeeper’s left post with his left foot. Strangely, no more goals were going to be scored in this somewhat frustrating encounter. Five minutes before the end, Harry Kane had to leave his partners following an injury to his left ankle.

Following this draw (1-1) between the two best teams in the German championship,
Bayern Munich consolidates its first place in the ranking with thirteen points. The team coached by Xabi Alonso is in third place on the podium, with ten units, ahead of RB Leipzig (eleven).
