A former goalkeeper is set to come out of retirement for a stint at FC Barcelona until the end of the season.

Keylor Navas is not the only goalkeeper to appeal to the Barça management. Wojciech Szczesny, who has been retired for a few months, also says he is ready to join the Blaugrana if ever asked.

The former Poland international, who hung up his gloves after being released by Juventus in the summer, is prepared to postpone his retirement plans to help Barca this season.

Szczesny offers himself to Barça

According to AS, Polish media are claiming that Szczesny is ready to join Barça to replace Marc-André ter Stegen, who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. He would be a good addition to the Blaugrana, if only because of his experience. In addition to Juve, he has also played for Roma and Arsenal.

Barca are considering signing a replacement for the German, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season, and the Pole has made it clear that he is open to the challenge.
