The presence of Florian Thauvin on the list of those pre-summoned for the next gathering of the Blues has shocked some people.

Florian Thauvin is back on Didier Deschamps’ radar. Three years after his last selection for the French team, the former Marseille player is once again one of the players the coach is keeping an eye on.

Thauvin’s return to the limelight can be explained by his good performances with Udinese, currently third in Serie A. After a long lull, the 2018 world champion has therefore found an interesting level of performance.

Thauvin not legitimate for the Blues?

Thauvin’s presence on the list of those pre-summoned remains surprising. Some even consider it unjustified. This is what Ludovic Obraniak, consultant for
The Team and former Polish international.

“I saw his last match, he is the reincarnation of Del Piero, he began by confiding in a humorous tone.
Come on, let’s take a step back. He’s a boy who has disappeared from the radar for three years. He’s only had three good matches. It’s still the French team. They’re not the old friends. There are still youngsters who are in full swing. I’d like him to come back, but he should have at least 6 good months.”

Obraniak is therefore not a fan of Thauvin, as we will have understood. If it was necessary to regenerate the midfield, he believes that another Frenchman would deserve to be called up. It is Enzo Millot from Stuttgart. “I prefer him to Thauvin”he said. The former Monaco player made three decisive moves in the last league match against Dortmund.
