FC Barcelona could bet on a 41-year-old goalkeeper to compensate for the absence of its starting goalkeeper, Marc-André Ter Stegen.

FC Barcelona will have to do without Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for the rest of the season. The German goalkeeper tore the ligaments in his knee on Sunday during the match against Villarreal. He is forced to rest for several months.

The Catalan club is obliged to find a replacement as soon as possible. Several names have circulated in the media and they have the particularity of being without a club at the moment: Loris Karius, Keylor Navas, Jordi Masip, Edgar Badia and Tomas Vaclik.

Former Barça player returns to the club?

The Blaugrana have not contacted any of these players for the moment. On the other hand, there is one goalkeeper who has taken the initiative to contact the Barcelona management. It is the Chilean Claudio Bravo. At 41, the latter recently retired, but he is ready to return to the field if ever the leader of the Liga calls on his services.

Bravo is no stranger to the Barcelona team. He kept goal for the club between 2014 and 2016, playing a total of 75 games. That was before he left for Manchester City. His return to the Nou Camp would still be quite a surprise, especially considering his advanced age.
