On September 9, DAZN’s CEO announced the launch of a limited offer, in order to make its subscription plan with and without commitment more financially accessible. Those who had subscribed before this “discount” could not, however, benefit from retroactivity or compensation. Pierre Sage was one of them.

“I feel a little bit… I feel like I’ve been had.”the Olympique Lyonnais coach had ironically lamented. But visibly, everything has since returned to normal. “It’s settled, I had a very good listening from your management. Congratulations to you if you returned the subscription to all those who had it before. I spoke out about it because I found it was not fair. I have nothing against you”confided the 45-year-old technician, Sunday evening, on the sidelines of the Olympico.

DAZN extends its promotion

The English platform, which is the almost exclusive broadcaster of Ligue 1, was struggling to convince its potential customers. This was due to a subscription price that was considered too high. As a reminder, the price was 39.99 euros per month for the non-binding version and 29.99 euros per month with a twelve-month commitment. Since the promotion, the first one costs 19.99 euros for the first two months, while the annual offer has gone from 29.99 to 19.99 euros per month for one year.

DAZN has decided to extend this until the end of September. “The feedback from Ligue 1 fans, clubs, and the entire market has been very good. So we decided to continue for another week,” assured Brice Daumin, CEO of DAZN France, to AFP.
