Genoa had a complicated afternoon on the pitch at Venice this Saturday in Serie A. In addition to the defeat (2-0), the Rossoblu have lost Ruslan Malinovskyi to injury. The 31-year-old Ukrainian’s right ankle, whose cries of pain were caught on Italian television, twisted following a tackle in the box. He was replaced by Andrea Pinamonti in the 50th minute and is expected to be out for a long time.

“Player Ruslan Malinovskyi, who injured his right ankle in today’s match, has a dislocated ankle joint and a fractured fibula. The player will undergo surgery tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you soon, Ruslan!”his club said in a statement. With this second setback of the season, Genoa remains in 11th place.
