“It’s eight years of my life that have been very, very importanthe began, still crying. I arrived, I was very young. These are moments when you grow as a man. I am very moved to finish with you, Olivier, because you helped me a lot during these eight years. Thanks to all the columnists I spent all these moments with. I love you.

Earlier in the same week, Bertrand Latour had already been overcome with emotion. When discussing the death of
Didier Roustan, his colleague died of liver cancer at the age of 66. “I am proud to have worked with Didier. There will never be more journalists like him. He touched all generations. In fact, his great strength was that he was a free man and that is what we must remember about him, because he taught us all a lot…”he said, in tears.
Last Sunday, Bertrand Latour made his big debut on the “Canal Football Club”. The leaders of
Canal+ see him as the successor to Pierre Ménès in the (thankless) role of sniper, alongside the more consensual presenter Hervé Mathoux.
