You may not have known it, but September 9 is Pascal Praud’s birthday. On air on Europe 1 for his daily show, the journalist received a few surprise calls, like the one from Michel Sardou. And then it was Waldemar Kita who picked up the phone to call the man who was his communications director at FC Nantes, between January 2008 and March 2010.
“Ah, magnificent!” reacted Pascal Praud, who remembered his collaboration with the owner of the Canaries.
I’ll tell you, if I’m at this microphone, it’s perhaps thanks to you. I owe you much, much more than people think. The two years I spent with you served me a lot.”
Praud: “I wasn’t very good”
“Unfortunately, I wasn’t very goodadmits Pascal Praud, who left TF1 to join the club in his hometown. I understand that the FC Nantes supporters don’t like me because I didn’t succeed in this sequence. But it taught me a lot, strangely enough, and I came back to this profession with more desire.
After leaving his position at FCN during the season, by mutual agreement with Waldemar Kita, Pascal Praud quickly became a full-time journalist again. In addition to his shows on RTL, the Nantes native joined CNews (then called i-Télé) to host a morning show. He gradually became one of the strong men of the channel, before joining Europe 1 in parallel in 2023.
