Depay is biding his time to choose his next club this summer. The 30-year-old left Atletico Madrid on a free transfer in June and, according to Fabrizio Romano, he will now head to Brazil to sign for Corinthians, having already passed a medical in his native Netherlands.
As we recently saw with Steven Bergwijn, Depay’s move to Brazil could mean the end of his time with the Dutch national team under Ronald Koeman. The head coach banned the former Ajax player from joining the Saudi Pro League as he deemed the league uncompetitive.

Depay, who had a disappointing two-year spell at Manchester United between 2015 and 2017, has scored 13 goals in 40 appearances for Atletico Madrid and has been a regular in the Netherlands squad, including during their recent Euro 2024 campaign.
Depay has signed a contract with Corinthians until 2026 and will be unveiled in the coming days, likely in front of a very excited crowd. The 30-year-old had also been linked with Roma, Sevilla and Rayo Vallecano, but will now embark on the next stage of his career outside of Europe.
