Hervé Renard is clearly about to return to service. Appointed to head the French women’s team in place of Corinne Diacre in March 2023, the former coach of Sochaux and Lille decided to end this adventure following the elimination of Les Bleues in the quarter-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games tournament.
Now free to commit to the club or federation of his choice, Hervé Renard has clearly made his decision. Indeed, Egyptian football legend Essam El-Hadari probably teased on social media the arrival of the French coach at the head of the Pharaohs.
Hervé Renard back on the African continent?
On X (formerly Twitter), Essam El-Hadari posted a photo of himself alongside Hervé Renard, all smiles, accompanied by the words “Tick tock” and an “alert” emoji. As if to announce the imminent arrival of the Aix-les-Bains native on the bench of the Egyptian selection.
As a reminder, Hervé Renard has had several experiences as a coach, particularly on the African continent. Indeed, he managed Ghana, Zambia, Angola, Ivory Coast, Morocco and finally Saudi Arabia. Now we just have to wait for confirmation or not of his possible appointment to the helm of Egypt.
