The 2024 Ballon d’Or is already tomorrow. L’Equipe says more this Monday about the introduction of the event.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or will be awarded on October 28 at the Théâtre du Châtelet. So who will succeed Lionel Messi, who was honored last fall? Part of the answer will lie in the identity of the nominees that L’Equipe is about to reveal.

This Wednesday, September 4, from 6:20 p.m. on the dedicated channel of the sports daily, as part of the program “L’Équipe de Greg”, the nominees for the various trophies to be awarded in a month and a half will be announced.

Two new awards

Eight awards are now up for grabs. In addition to the traditional Ballon d’Or for men and women, the Kopa Trophy for the best goal of the year, the Yachine Trophy for the best goalkeeper and the prizes awarded to the men’s and women’s clubs of the year, two new distinctions will be awarded to the best coaches for men and women.
