Didier Deschamps’ new list of the Blues is not unanimous. Jérôme Rothen absolutely does not understand the choices of the French coach.

THURSDAY,
Didier Deschamps has revealed the list of players selected to face Italy, at the Parc des Princes, on September 6, and Belgium, in Lyon, three days later. For these two Nations League matches, the French coach has called up a relatively classic group, however calling up Olise and Manu Koné for the first time with the A team.

Jérôme Rothen would have preferred his former coach at AS Monaco to make many more changes. “He doesn’t make any self-criticism of his Euro. He’s completely off the mark. The construction of the group is the same: are you going to play with Koné, Fofana, Tchouaméni, Kanté? I’m not a coach, but you have two years to create something different.”the sports consultant noted on the airwaves of RMC.

Rothen: “Deschamps has no reflection”

The former attacking midfielder is particularly virulent.
“Deschamps has no reflection. He does not want to put his group so-called ‘in danger’. Malo Gusto, Boey… These are players who play at a high level, why don’t you test them? Knowing that your understudy, you don’t play him anyway. You’re dismissing Pavard without us knowing the reason. But then why are the others who weren’t good there? They have an immunity totem, you don’t give the opportunity to young people…”regrets the man who has thirteen selections in the French team.
