A new twist in Lyon? This week, the newspaper The Team informed us that the Rhone management was preparing the departure of Ernest Nuamah. With a view to a possible transfer to the Premier League (Everton and Nottingham Forest were particularly interested), it was rumored that Lyon was then targeting Carlos Forbs, from Ajax, to replace him.

According to the Dutch press, an offer of 15 million euros had even been made by OL. But now a new club has interfered in the matter. As reported by the Dutch media Dutch FootballWolverhampton are trying to scupper the deal. The Premier League club are said to have made an offer, the amount of which has not been disclosed, to cover Daniel Podence’s possible departure to Saudi Arabia. The final decision is expected to be made by Forbs, as the transfer window closes tonight.
