Juventus forward Federico Chiesa is set to sign with Liverpool. The Italian international has approved the move and has already landed on the banks of the Mersey, with Liverpool set to pay €13 million to secure the services of the 2021 European champion.
Chiesa has been sidelined by Juve recently and urged to find a new club before Friday’s transfer, with new Bianconero coach Thiago Motta not particularly counting on him.
Liverpool go on the attack
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports: “Federico Chiesa to Liverpool, it’s a done deal! The deal was agreed for an initial fee of €13 million with bonuses on the line.” This is LFC’s first summer signing, with manager Arne Slot having failed to welcome any reinforcements so far.
The journalist specifies that Chiesa will sign a four-year deal with the six-time European champions. The former Florentine hopes to have a better time than previous Italians who have been to this club, such as Borini, Balotelli, Aquilani or Dossena.
