Manchester City are joining the race for Eberechi Eze. The Crystal Palace attacking midfielder continues to attract interest, after Tottenham, it would be the Citizens who have expressed their interest in the 26-year-old player. According to the Daily Mailif a club wants to dislodge the London native, it will now have to negotiate with Palace, as the player’s release clause of around sixty million pounds (70 + 8 million euros) has just expired.
The Eagles could ask for a price significantly higher than the clause for the attacking midfielder, who scored 11 goals and provided 4 assists in 27 Premier League games last season. Manchester City will therefore have to break the bank if Pep Guardiola’s club wants to secure the services of the England international (7 caps). Crystal Palace, who have already lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, could also decide to block the transfer of the Nigerian-born midfielder, so as not to lose too much this summer.
